Plans for Magazine

For the front cover, I chose the title 'HEAD-PHONICS' as it as a play-on-words on Headphones and the famous band Stereophonics.
I chose to have done a red, black andf white colour scheme as they all stand out against eachother, making the magazine bold and eye-catching. An example of this is the title is going to be red against a black background. I also chose it because the magazine's a mixed genre- it's not 'pop' but what's popular at that moment in time, and every singer/band is able to look good with red.
The title is also going to be bold and maybe 3d, so it stands out compared to the other font on the cover.
The headlines would be red against a white background to catch the eye, witht he subheadings being black so they are able to stand out.
There will be one or two small images beside a section where the other stories inside the magazine will go so it gives and uynderstanding of who else will be inside in case someone is not interested in the main story.
The contest star or bubble will be black against the white background so it'll stand out with red font, reinforcing it's standing out.
The image will either be in the centre or on the right so there is room for the headings and sub headings.


The contents will be split nearly halfway across the centre, horizontally (as it will give me more room). The top half will mainly consist of images of the main stories whereas the bottom half will have other stories and where abouts they will be in the magazine.
The pictures will all have page numbers in one of their corners with the exception of one or two which will be bigger images and will have a heading on it stating what the story is about to catch the attention as well as their page numbers.
The bottom half has three columns where it will have small secitons on each story in the magazine- the layout of them will go "Headline, subheading, page number" so it is very clear on how to find it and what it's about.
In the top-right corner of the bottom half section, there will be an editor's note which will explain why certain stories have been selected for this issue.
In about 3 of the stories' summaries, there will be small images of the singer/main singer so it will clear any confusion there may have been for what it's about.
